​On the cross, Jesus revealed himself to be Israel’s long-awaited King who defeated the enemies of God in the spiritual realms. We find victory in our lives through the victory that Jesus secured on our behalf.

Discussion Questions:

1. What evidence have you witnessed of demonic influence in our world?
2. Paul Hiebert argued that our world view suffers from "the flaw of the excluded middle." What did he mean by that? How should we understand how the spiritual realms influence our physical world based on the teaching of Scripture? 
3. On the cross, Jesus defeated the evil forces in the spiritual realms and set us free from the bondage of sin. What are some ways that you've experienced this freedom from bondage? 
4. On the cross, Jesus became our Champion, securing the victory over sin that we could not do by our own power. In what areas of life do you feel helpless and weak--in need of God's deliverance?
