CATALYST Youth Ministry

Catalyst, ICC’s youth ministry, is for students who are in sixth grade through high school. The vision of Catalyst is to create a safe space and community where students can explore their questions and doubts about faith and seek and experience God together. We long to help students take ownership of their faith, preparing them to take their first steps into adulthood. Through the youth group, we want to guide our youth to a meaningful relationship with Jesus, which can center them in the midst of the many challenges of teenage life.
On Sundays, we have a youth worship service (11:30am-12:45pm) where a youth leader preaches a message geared for our students. Afterwards, the youth are given an opportunity to share more personally through small group discussions. On Fridays, we meet from 7pm-9:30pm. We normally begin our Fridays with a time of worship through singing followed by an interactive study of God's Word. We then discuss the prior Sunday's sermon in small groups and pray with/for one another and then enjoy a time of fellowship with the whole group. Throughout the year the youth group also holds special events such as retreats, bowling nights, game nights, Christmas parties, and Six Flags trips. We also seek to live out our faith in action, whether it is seeking God through extended times of worship or helping those in need. This past year, we ran a household supply drive and a winter clothing drive for families in our local school district. In whatever ways that we can, we want to bring wholeness and the love of Christ to our neighbors.

Friday NightWe meet every Friday from 7pm-9:30pm for a time of praise, small groups, and games.
