What are Life Groups?
We believe the New Testament model and God's good design is that we do life with one another, so that we might grow in Christ together. It is in these smaller groups that we receive the prayer and support we need through life's challenges, develop intergenerational relationships across families, grow in the word and exercise the "one another" commands so that we might grow more like Jesus. We are hopeful that these smaller group sizes will lead to more deeper connection, intimacy and ownership of the group.
Groups will consist of 4-6 families/individuals and each group will have a designated "facilitator". Please note that we are open to increasing size of some groups if they include newcomers and/or if there is an existing group that wishes to stay together. If this is the case, please make sure to include this preference in your registration form.
We are asking everyone who registers to commit themselves to being consistent in attending if possible

When do Life Groups Meet and how often?
This will be left to the discretion of each group as to what works best schedule wise for everyone but a weekly meeting rhythm is recommended with once a month breaks to connect in fellowship (e.g. dinner and/or activity) with other Life Groups in your geographic area or life stage.
What will be Studied and Discussed?
Life Groups will be encouraged to continue with the sermon-based studies. However, after that each group will be free to decide on what they would like to cover (book of Bible, Christian book, etc). We would ask each group to inform Pastor Lester (if not doing sermon-based study) before moving forward with a specific group chosen content.
How Long Do They Last?
Groups will be formed by the pastoral staff based on the input from the registrations in late September and begin meeting in September 2022 through the end of May 2023 (9 months).
What is expected of a Life Group Coordinator?
Each group will have a designated "coordinator". He/She will serve as the administrative point person for the group's interface with the pastoral staff. Expected time commitment would be ~one hour/week and would involve relaying info to/from staff, coordinating meeting time/locations for group and fellowship activities, connecting with Pastor Lester occasionally. There will be 3 meetings throughout the year that we would ask coordinators to attend as a group for training and support. Facilitating discussions for life group meetings is not necessarily the coordinator's responsibility as we are hopeful groups can rotate this responsibility.
