In Galatians 4:19 Paul tells the Galatian believers that he is in the pains of childbirth until “Christ is formed in them.” What is the process by which Christ is formed in us? Journey Groups invites you to discover answers to this question through the practice of spiritual disciplines. Through this one-year program, participants meet in triads (group of three people) walking through a number of different journeys, each of which explores a specific spiritual discipline:
Each journey begins with a large group teaching which explains the discipline. In the following weeks, participants practice that discipline, meeting together on a biweekly basis to share their experience with their triads. Participants will also write regularly in an online journal shared with the others in their triad. The Journey Groups program expects a high level of openness, honesty, and vulnerability within each triad. Therefore, participants should form their triads with this in mind.
All meetings will be in-person. The large group teaching that introduces each spiritual discipline will be taught by Pastor Steve on Sundays. Please indicate in the registration form whether or not you would like to meet before or after the worship service. The time of these meetings will be based on the results of this survey.
