​Discussion Questions:

1. Discipleship begins with repentance--seeing ourselves as we truly are and acknowledging our need for a Savior. Have you ever experienced a moment of honesty when God helped you to see yourself as you truly are and not the image that you want others to see? 
2. Many of us were introduced to the gospel outlined by the following points: 1) You are a sinner going to hell. 2) God loves you. 3) Jesus died on the cross for your sins. 4) If you believe in him, you can go to heaven when you die. John Mark Comer comments, "The problem is not that it’s untrue but that it’s missing whole pieces of truth that are really, really important. It simply does not come close to the full picture of salvation we find in Jesus’ preaching or the writings of the New Testament. And it has created a kind of salvation by 'minimum entrance requirements.'" What does Comer mean by this? What is missing in this framing of the gospel? 
3. Jesus asks us, "What do you want?" How would you answer this question? Do you think your answer has changed over the different seasons of your life? 
4. A disciple knows who Jesus is. What are some names or titles of Jesus that have the most personal meaning to you? What are some ways that you've changed because of your relationship with Jesus?
